When God had made the Earth and Sky, the flowers and the trees, He then made all the animals, and all the birds and bees. And when His work was finished, not one was quiet the same, He said, "I'll walk the Earth of mine, and give each one a name." And so He traveled land and sea, and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him, until it's strength was spent. When all were named upon the Earth, and in the sky and sea, the little creature said, "Dear Lord, there's not one left for me. The Father smiled and softly said, "I've left you till the end, I've turned my name from back to front, and called you DOG, my friend."

Hey There!!!...This photo was taken shortly after my ears were cropped...Boy did that hurt!!!...My Brother Brutus tried to warn me about the pain but I didn't listen...Oh well, I'm glad I got my ears cropped...I think I'm one "COOL DANE"...

Let us tell you a little about our babies...They were born in Attalla, Alabama on March 5th, 1999...They come from a litter of eleven puppies. Brutus is a black/white great dane and Caesar is a harlequin. When we first brought them back to Georgia they were very nervous-but fit in well soon after. Caesar became very sick with parvovirus. We did not think that he would make it. Now he is the bigger of the two pups. Brutus is very jealous of him. He always wants the most attention. Both love to be inside the house with our family. They love squeaky toys, walks in the park, taking a shower with daddy and big, meaty bones.

Here are some pics of our friends from across the world. Brutus and I don't like those kinds of treats. We like to chase squirrels, not eat them. As for cats, we have three step-brother-kittys. They hiss and scratch at us so we leave them alone. Like I said, we dont like these kinds of treats, we prefer to DEMOLISH mommy and daddys beautiful landscape work in the backyard. So far Brutus and I have chewed up five trees, four "rose of sharon" plants, six pompass grass plants, two butterfly bushes, five apple trees, one forsythia plant, and three rose bushes. We also destroyed all the planter boxes on the deck, chewed up the tarp that daddy put up to keep us dry when it rained, and now we have our sites on daddys' hammock...yummy...And lets not forget the tremendous effort put forth by us when we flattened mommys' entire garden of gladiolus. And last, but surely not least, our most extensive task was chewing up the metal "Brinks Home Security" sign...We both had toothaches after that one. Check back later for further tales in the life of Brutus and Caesar.

Howdy folks...Caesar here...Just taking it easy on the couch. I just got back from the vet with a clean bill of health. I am now nine months old and weigh in at 110 lbs. The doc told me I would probably put on another 30 lbs. I guess I need to cut down on the Milk bone dog biscuits. Check back soon for more pics...L8R...

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me. Do not break my spirit with a stick for although I should lick your hands between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly reach me the things you would have me do. Speak to me often, for your voice is the sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footsteps fall upon my waiting ear. When it is cold and wet, please take me inside...for I am a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements...and I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth...though had you no home. I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshiper. Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life, should your life be in danger. And, beloved master, should the Great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest...and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.
